Christmas
The War that Never Was
Each year, as Thanksgiving passes and we set out sights on Holiday, Christmas or Shopping season, depending on your term, we are all touched, some more than others, by the media driven “War on Christmas”.
The most common phrase I hear on television is “What’s the big deal”? However, that sentence is always uttered by those in the majority. I feel the same way, what is the big deal? We have achieved what our Founding Fathers set out to do. We have a diversity in ethnicity, religion, culture and global views that Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, etc. could only have imagined. Many people that I speak with on this subject, quite frankly know little of the Founding Fathers other than the term and what they remember from school. A careful, objective study of the right books, people and philosophies of these men gives a great sense of what they were trying to achieve. “Quote mining” is a frequent, irrelevant tool for the misinformed or lazy.
This is something we should be celebrating, not creating a fictitious war over, which from what I can tell, is mostly “promoted”, for lack a reason other than ratings, by primarily the Fox Television Network, . The double edge to “Freedom of Religion” is that it happens to infringe on what are perceived as the rights of the majority, that all along should have been respected, but respected as beliefs and not rights. Beliefs and rights are very different things, and in the area of religion in the United States have become intertwined and often confused with tradition.
When I see the controversies over having displays, the displays are usually Christian, that not being an attack on Christianity, simply an observation that as a population we are mostly Christian. We do not, as I sometimes hear, live by the “majority rule” concept. If we were to do that, imagine what this country would be like. The African Americans had to fight for their rights to be treated as human beings, and that fight continues today, the same goes for Homosexuals, Hispanics, Muslims, women in many respects, just for their own reproductive systems, atheists are one of the most despised minorities in the country yet, by number there are more atheists in Unites States alone than Jews world wide. The numbers and cases could go on forever. The Bill of Rights was created to protect the minority, not the majority.
Why do we have to place religious symbols, scenes and designs representing any one religion in the one or two public places, community centers, government buildings, etc. where we know that it will cause a problem? With all the Churches, and congregants who belong to those churches, many of whom would be honored to have these displays on their property, why do the taxpayers, of all beliefs and non-beliefs have to support what they may or may not believe in?
The United States has a population of Christians, Muslims, Scientologists, Jews, atheists, agnostics, Wiccan’s, Mormons, Unitarians, etc. all of which are tax exempt, except atheists and agonists, and many more. I believe there are approximately 53 tax exempt Religious Institutions in the United States. Not every respects, or even acknowledges all of those ways of thinking, and that is their right, but it is also a divisive way of thinking as it infringes on peoples rights and unfortunately, works it’s way into our political system, schools and society and all too often, hurts people.
Is it tradition that drives this “hate” in the people that get so worked up because they can’t have their nativity scene at the public square? Maybe. However, maybe you should take a step back and realized how much we have evolved as a nation and we need to be more sensitive to everyone’s beliefs. If groups insist on this type of childishness, than other groups, legally, will be able to have their groups represented. This is where I hear how “other groups” are trying to “ruin” Christmas, yet the truth is, it was the original group that refused to be sensitive. Yes, everyone could have just let it be, but that’s not how it’s been done in this country. We are a people that take a stand for what we believe. It’s good if people agree with you, you’re a trouble maker if not.
Everyone should be able to enjoy this season, for whatever it means to them. A number of the people on Fox openly promote Christianity, as is their right. They are not a public organization and their beliefs do not carry over to our public arena.
No amount of their hyperbolic rhetoric, which is dissected daily on websites and shows all over the country, should change the true spirit of the diverse citizens and patriots of this country, as they do speak for the vast majority of us, and they are frequently factually and legally inaccurate in what they report on this subject. There is a difference between opinion and fact, at least in the real world.
We separate our government and church in the United States for a reason. The Americans United for Separation of Church and State are not anti-religious, as people sometimes try to claim, simply because we may be fighting something against something they believe in, or support, this time. We end up supporting religion far more than we do opposing it. Often, however, we were brought in, by someone, or a group because of a complaint against the majority group, because once again, they are the ones insisting that their beliefs be accepted, as rights, quietly.
Though there is a misconception about the “bigotry” that takes place this time of year, the truth is, the majority is seeing a number of others that have always been the victims of bigotry fight back to take their rightful place along side them.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”
These are the very first words in the 1st Amendment to the Constitution for a reason. That’s how important it became. People who show the true spirit of The United States really understand these words, along with tolerance and those, in my opinion, are the true patriots, not people on television that stir up hate everyday.

Registered sex offender to be ordained by Louisville church, many concerned
06:22 PM EDT on Friday, September 4, 2009
(WHAS11) – There is controversy involving a Louisville church ordaining a registered sex offender as a minister. Why?
Mark Hourigan He said he loved him.
The church in question serves a predominantly gay and transgendered congregation but one former member says he’s concerned that the new minister could be a threat to the congregation’s children. That seems like an unfair judgment to make about a pedophile, jeez.
The pastor of City of Refuge Worship Center admits it’s the first time he’s heard of a church in the United States ordaining someone who is registered for life as a sex offender but he says the man in question has changed and deserves forgiveness. Hey, I’m all for forgiveness. I’ve forgiven the RCC, haven’t I? It’s clear he’s changed. He’s hasn’t buggered any 11 year olds, we think, since 1998. What happens in prison stays in prison.
But not everyone thinks the church should take that chance. Really?
City of Refuge church proclaims that everyone is welcome and that’s probably what attracted Mark Hourigan. That, the Sunday School and playground.
Hourigan was charged back in 1998 with sodomizing, sexually abusing and intimidating an 11-year-old boy. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, served time in prison and agreed not to serve as a leader in any church where he would have contact with children. But Hourigan’s probation is over, even if his sex offender registration never ends. That seems harsh. Shouldn’t buggering an 11 year boy old be kicked down to a misdemeanor or a ticket or something?
Pastor Randy Meadows says the lord has touched Hourigan’s heart. Bet he left his asshole alone though.
Hourigan now leads praise and worship at the church and will become an ordained minister next Sunday. Now, color me kooky, but this seems like a violation of his overtly harsh terms of his “lesser charges”.
Former church Deacon Kevin Pickerrell says Hourigan was never straight-forward about his past until he was confronted. Pickerrell left the church after he disagreed with other church leaders over Hourigan’s ordination. This guy Pickerrell sounds like a real judgmental dickhead.
He fears Hourigan will be tempted by the children who gather at the church for weekly Sunday school and will reoffend. “Maybe he’s gonna fall in that category of the low percentage that doesn’t, but I don’t want to take that chance,” says Pickerrell. See.
Pastor Meadows says Hourigan will sign an agreement not to minister to children. Oh, OK. And he feels the whole controversy can become a lesson for everyone. I agree, unless of course I’m one of the 8 out of 10 victims of repeat sex offenders.
“God is a loving and forgiving God and I’m doing what he’s telling me to do. Did the 11 year old get a say in the “forgiveness process”? And if that’s not popular, Jesus wasn’t either,” says Pastor Meadows. As far as we know, Jesus wasn’t running around doggin styling 11 year olds, in which case he probably wouldn’t have been so popular, in fact they probably would have executed him. Hey, wait, never mind, I wasn’t there so I’m not suggesting anything, forget I said anything. The pastor says Hourigan will never be left alone with any child. That’s what the bishops said. That doesn’t comfort the former member who says part of a pastor’s job is to minister to all people and those restrictions won’t allow Hourigan to do that.
OK, sorry I strayed but I couldn’t help add my commentary. So, here’s the bet:
I say this is a story (if it wasn’t already), maybe one of the bigger ones, though nothing can knock off the racist, socialist trojan horse muslim illegal death squad immagrant Obama, but Fox will go crazy over this story.
Why?
1) The church accepts everyone (what church does that!), including gays!
2) It is not a Roman Catholic Church so they’ll “crucify” the church, the pedophile, the janitor, everyone but god.
3) Who will be the front runners on the story?
4) I say it will be a tie, Hannity and O’Reilly.

Just letting you assholes know that I’m here everyday and looking forward to your moronic opinions, and the occasional sensible ones.
It’s just that the stupid ones are more fun to play with, but we do need the good people to help play with the idiots.

Let’s here from you what you’ve hear, either on the show, YouTube, from a friend, Internet anything Hannity said that blew your mind as the total fabrication that is was, out right lie, bullshit by omission or laugh out loud stupidity.

For the last 60 years both republicans and democrats have agreed that there is a dire need for health care reform.
I recently saw a program with the head economist of the White House and there seemed to be a consensus (among normal people) that health care, within the next 10-15 years will be the most catastrophic financial issue to possibly ever affect the nations economic environment.
President Obama is the first president that has not only aggressively attacked this issue, but appears to be on the brink of actually changing it. I will admit to not being an expert on the details, and neither are you, so let’s clear that up.
However, every “thing” out there that pretends to be a republican can do nothing but criticize everything the man, the administration does. I am so sick of these assholes. Why don’t they sit at the table and help? And don’t even try to tell me they have, they’ve done nothing but try to prevent, undercut, criticize, butcher, undermine, slander and make a near impossible task that much harder.
The republicans FUCKING SUCK. The real shame is this country needs a good, sensible republican party that brings their legitimate ideas and balance to the table, not constant rhetoric, bullshit and immature, backstabbing horse shit led by radio hosts, former politicians and dumb ass cunt who can’t even handle a talk show comedian.
We need health care reform. I can’t pay from my medical and I HAVE good health insurance. I’m like many others in this country. The assholes bitching about it, as usual don’t worry about it like people like me. Sarah Palin and her “concern” for the “regular” American good give a good shit about them. She wouldn’t know one if she tripped over them. Dumb cunt.
Yes, she’s a cunt, and if you have a problem with that word, stick it up your ass, or cunt. It’s a word, no different than any other and it doesn’t insult any more than any other so fuck off.

The first nominee is elected by me because so far I’m the only that comes here. So, without further ado………
Thomas Jefferson…..did as much for creating the Constitution and Bill of Rights as any one person and may have contributed more toward the shaping of our way of life than all of the Founding Fathers. He certainly created the “Wall of Separation of Church and State” and was a brilliant and complicated man.

Each month we will be announcing the winner of the month’s biggest asshole, hypocrite, fuktard, slime, pedophile/priest, etc., and posting it here.
The rules are simple, they don’t exists. You nominate them, we laugh, if we like them, they win. If we like ten of them, they all win. If there are 156 in a month, then we have 156 “Douche’s of the Month”.

Each section in here will be for serious discussion be it religion, politics, the world or whatever your thoughts on that day. If language is not reasonable and you are not insult free to other posters, you comments will be deleted, after which your posting rights will be revoked. I think this fair since you can say pretty much what you want in the other sections. As long as I agree with you. Thank you

When does the responsibility for the cover up and thousands of pedophiles never brought to justice finally make it’s way to to the top?

I’m initially dedicating this site to Fox “News” and my favorite douche bag, Sean Hannity. I say that with complete confidence because he’s a douche bag. This will be a place for fun, humor, debate, serious issues and current events, but Sean Hannity is a douche bag, that’s set in stone and not up for debate. OK, you can debate but you’ll lose unmercifully. When he says hello he sounds like a simple minded bigot.
Additionally, the sites www.republicansblow.com and www.thepopesucks.com will also direct you here. In all fairness, I feel the need to say something about this.
Contrary to the domain names, I do not believe all republicans suck. I think many of them do, and most of us know that. The only ones that won’t acknowledge that work at Fox or are part of their immediate families. Additionally, I’m sure that many members of their families snicker behind their backs every time the utter something hilariously stupid, and pull the “wrong” little lever behind the curtain. Many democrats suck too. Hell, I suck. So do you, and you know it. You’re dog probably sucks. OK, not your dog. But, there are different degrees of sucking and we’re going after the Hannity/Limbaugh/O’Reilly/Beck/Coulter variety of suck. That is the apex of the suck heap just below pedophiles and, well, other pedophiles.
But, the other two domains I stand by. The pope does indeed suck, and Sean Hannity is a douche bag.
So, bring it on.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. I’m structuring this in the same way as Fox. “Fair and balanced” You’re opinion means nothing, I will let you voice an opinion until I see it’s not mine, then I will write over it and censor you, and bring in someone else who agrees 100% with me, contradicting everything you didn’t get a chance to say.

One of my favorite clips of douche bag not understanding what’s taking place around him, to him and the point that’s being made.
